Patchnote 0.914.447
Welcome back! We apologize for the delay. A lot of work has been happening behind the scenes. Unfortunately, not everything is immediately visible, and because some key features haven't been fully tested yet, we are delaying the content release (once again) by two weeks. We promise it will be ready by then! Without further ado, here are the changes in update 0.914.447.
[ Game changes ]
- Halloween has crept back into Dragotaka!
- The Summer event has ended, but you can still trade event items until the next patch.
- The Big Wheel and Mixboard have been updated.
- Daily Quests now have a chance to include Special Requests. These are rare but offer valuable rewards if you’re lucky enough to encounter and complete one.
- Guild Daily Quests have been improved: instead of receiving useless boxes, you’ll now earn 1 Gada Coin for each completed quest. Feel free to throw those old boxes away for good! (Not like I haven’t mentioned that thousands of times before >_>)
- The toon shading effect has been slightly enhanced. The eyes will now always appear bright, and shadows will interact differently with lighting compared to the previous version. Technically, there's much more, but those are the most easily seen changes.
The player is currently under shadow
- Climbing ladders now scales with your movement speed, allowing most players to climb much faster.
- Improved the damage number display.
- A Leave button has been added to the "Esc" menu. This addition was necessary for certain situations, such as dungeon boss fights (Elga being a notable example) where leaving was previously not an option.
- The skill tooltip has been updated, and the item tooltip size has been slightly increased. A complete rework of the item tooltip will come at a later date, given the extensive coding required.
New tooltip
- Hardcore mode medals have finally been added to the game. And yes, your progression has been saved! So, when you check the "Special" tab in the Achievements section of the journal, you may find that you’ve already unlocked them.
[ Battlesquare changes ]
- Armor will no longer get damaged in the Battlesquare.
- Changes have been made to make it easier to identify which team a player belongs to.
- The buff that helps the losing team has now been added to "unbalanced" mode. In short, if a fight becomes one-sided or unfair, the losing team will receive buffs to compensate. Let us know your thoughts on this change!
- A bug where the losing team buff did not affect summoned entities has been fixed.
- Most consumables can no longer be used in Battle Square and Emporia War. If I missed any, they will be banned (the items, not a player using them @_@) in a future patch.
In this screenshot, the blue team is shown receiving a 90% damage increase for all team members.
[ Invoker changes ]
- The anti-heal damage from the "Embrace the Darkness" buff is now affected by critical rate and critical damage. The base damage has been reduced to balance this change. Additionally, to make Invokers fairer to fight against, the anti-heal effect no longer penetrates enemy defenses.
- While under the "Embrace the Darkness" buff, all healing spells that can deal anti-heal damage have had their cooldowns reduced to one-third of the original amount. (15 seconds cd becomes 5 seconds cd)
- Wave Heal now behaves more like the Chain Lightning spell when "Embrace the Darkness" is active, increasing the hits per second when the buff is enabled.
- A new Invoker spell has been introduced, designed specifically for use with the "Embrace the Darkness" buff: "Renounce Darkness". This spell allows you to "Focus all accumulated darkness into a single devastating strike. The longer you channel, the greater the damage dealt. Activating this spell temporarily removes the 'Embrace the Darkness' buff for 20 seconds. The damage is split among all enemies; fewer targets mean higher damage per enemy. Darkness is accumulated by casting healing spells while under the 'Embrace the Darkness' effect, and any accumulated darkness resets when you change maps."
Renounce Darkness spell
[ Earth Master changes ]
- "Dragon Tooth" now has superarmour.
- "Spell Trap" no longer has a casting time. Additionally, this skill now prevents archers from evading using chain combo moves.
- "Ground Piston" is now affected by attack speed.
- The "Evil Thorn" attack (Z then X) will now display how long the enemy is trapped.
- The "Impact Presser" attack speed has been slightly increased.
- Attack speed in Balanced Mode has been increased from 200% to 240%.
- The dash block debuff caused by Summoners now lasts 5 seconds instead of 10. (This likely affects Sentinel mines as well.)
- The cast time for "Earthquake", "Mega Spike Wave", "Spike Wave", has been increased by 400ms in all PvP modes.
[ Overlord changes ]
- Annihilation at level 10 now increases damage by 80% instead of 280%. Additionally, instead of the buff wearing off after 5 instances of damage, it will now expire after 5 hits, regardless of the number of targets. In simpler terms, this change benefits you when fighting 5 or more enemies but acts as a nerf in situations with fewer targets. We felt the Overlord was too strong across all scenarios, whether against single or multiple targets. This adjustment aims to make the Overlord excel at clearing groups of enemies while being slightly less powerful against bosses. Note that this change does not affect the Destroyer's "Crux Shot" buff.
[ Training mode changes ]
- The skill array has been made wider.
- The last used spell will now appear in a vibrant green and will gradually fade to white after other spells are used.
New UI changes
[ Bug Fixes ]
- Fixed a bug where monsters and bosses would deal abnormally high damage.
- Fixed a bug where F7 would cause a deadlock.
- Fixed an issue where, under very specific and rare conditions (I think this also affected bosses?), players could deal an excessive amount of damage with the Shoulder Tackle skill.
- Anti-heal damage is now calculated differently. This change should resolve the problem where players weren’t receiving loot in mission mode, even when dealing sufficient damage.
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur in Duel Mode.
- The Chain Shield spell is no longer overly bright.
- Addressed visual glitches affecting certain skills used by Twins, where the effects would behave super duper weirdly.
- The Convert Item feature has been fixed and will now select the item you choose rather than defaulting to the first one in your bag.
The picked item will also be highlited in dark grey.
- A ladder in the Temple of Water that could cause players to be teleported back to the starting point has been replaced with a trampoline to fix this issue.
- Fixed a bug where, in rare circumstances, the Stumblebum effect would appear twice. (Yes, I know I said this was fixed in the last patch, but this time it's really fixed.) The root cause has been identified, but note that the fix is essentially a workaround. A proper solution would require reverting some of our previous fixes, which could lead to more complaints. The problem occurs when a player loads into the game while casting a spell, causing the spell to be cast twice: once when the character is loaded and again when the casting completes.
- Fixed an issue where players could change their gear in Hardcore Mode while under the cursed status.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to have over 1 billion HP in Hardcore Mode.
- Resolved an issue where players would get "stuck" if they cast two spells with casting times back to back.
- Fixed a bug where the emoticon menu would not display anything.
- Fixed an issue where the ping did not update properly in PvP mode.
- The issue where the Vulcan 300 skill failed to register some hits has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug where players who were AFK in PvP mode were still counted as active participants.
- Fixed an issue where the HP bar would appear too high above a player's head instead of correctly positioned.
- Implemented some experimental fixes for the pushing mechanic, where monsters would return to their original position after being pushed. Note that additional work is required to fully resolve all related issues.
[ Halloween Event Rewards ]
Now here are the sets you can earn from the Halloween event :
Undertaker Set (U)
Gothic Unicorn Set (F)
Chaotic Ezarel Set (M)
Chaotic Astarte Set (F)
Acrobat Mars Set (U)
Count Nostenblood Set (U)
[ Restriction System Changes ]
We have revamped our restriction system to make it more efficient. Previously, bans had to be applied and lifted manually, which was time consuming and inefficient. Additionally, the only action we could restrict was trading. With the new system, everything is now automated and far more streamlined, no more editing .json files on the server to add new players to the restriction list.
The updated system also includes new restrictions, such as party restrictions, PvP mode restrictions, and Battlesquare / Emporia War restrictions. While the system is still in the testing phase and not yet fully deployed, we plan to enforce the rules rigorously once everything is finalized. This means stricter regulations, such as no more multi-accounting. We’ll provide more details in the next patch.
Your bug reports, reviews and suggestions are important to us. Free feel to add suggestions, we will be happy to hear about them.
