Rules and sanctions

When you sign up for Re:Dragonica, you agree to follow certain rules. These rules exist to maintain a friendly atmosphere and ensure that all players are comfortable in the game.

If a player breaks these rules, he or she should be aware that he or she may be sanctioned. The severity of the sanctions varies depending on each case and its seriousness.

List of actions that can be performed after an offense is committed

Warning

For certain offenses, a warning is given to the player to inform them of the rules and to warn them that they risk sanctions. This warning is sent directly in the game by the moderators or by email from Re:Dragonica. It does not expire and is automatically considered to have been read and understood by the player.

Muting

Removing the ability to speak is one of the sanctions applied by moderators against players who do not comply with the rules of Re:Dragonica. This may be accompanied by a request that Support suspend the account(s) in question (ban).

Kicking

Moderators may remove players from the game for a set amount of time. This is usually accompanied by a request that Support suspend the account(s) in question (account ban).

Temporary ban

The account is inaccessible for several days (3, 7, 15, or 30 days). This temporary suspension, applied by Re:Dragonica Support, is a step that sometimes precedes a permanent ban of the account. Its duration depends on the seriousness of the infraction and whether it is a repeat offense.

Permanent ban

The account is permanently closed; the player can no longer access it. This sanction is usually applied in cases where players are repeat offenders or have committed unforgivable breaches of the Re:Dragonica rules.

The severity of the sanction depends on the seriousness of the offense. Generally speaking, several warnings lead to a temporary ban, and several bans lead to a permanent ban. However, some offenses automatically result in a permanent ban. Similarly, repeatedly breaking a rule can also lead to a permanent ban.

Non-Exhaustive List of Rules of Conduct that Must Be Followed

Accounts, Characters, Names, and Nicknames

All account and character nicknames, guild names, and alliance names and tags must comply with the following rules:

  • Must be pronounceable (for example, ssdfzxjf doesn't follow this rule), with the exception of alliance tags.
  • Must not refer to a political orientation, ethnicity, community, or religion.
  • Must not be vulgar or insulting.
  • Must not have sexual or pornographic connotations.
  • Must not contain your identity (first and/or last name) or that of another member of the community.
  • Must not imitate a trademark.
  • Must not refer to drugs or other illegal substances.
  • Must not suggest or refer to practices forbidden by game rules.
  • Must not imitate the names of major components of Dragonica (NPCs, heroes of the story, iconic places, dungeon bosses, etc.).
  • Must not imitate the nickname of an official account (moderator, game master, or member of the Re:Dragonica).
  • Must not be written or spelled in an alternative way in an attempt to circumvent the rules imposed here.

Lending accounts is forbidden, because of various possible abuses (using the borrowed account to commit offenses, theft, etc.). If this rule is not followed, both parties involved (loaner and loanee) may be sanctioned.

Selling, buying, trading and giving accounts is forbidden. The accounts are the property of Re:Dragonica and, as such, no pecuniary profit, whether in real or virtual currency, can be derived therefrom. Moreover, each account is associated with personal data, which are risky to divulge. The account's original owner remains forever responsible for their character's actions. They can be prosecuted criminally in the event of serious actions performed with their account.

Discussion Channels

"Each channel has its own purpose. In Re:Dragonica, this is indicated in game, in the ""Chat"" section.
  • Flooding, which consists of inundating channels with several messages in a row within a short timeframe, is not allowed.
  • Trade flooding (in the general channel) is strictly forbidden
  • Recruitment flooding is also forbidden.
  • Requests for and offers of services (looking for a crafter, help with a quest or dungeon, etc.), as well as requests regarding the location of portals or monsters, are to be sent in the general channel.
  • When you publish an offer to buy or sell, it is mandatory to indicate the item(s) or resource(s) you want to buy or sell and the desired price.
The purpose of this rule is to ban the practice referred to as "% off trades" (buying or selling items en masse at abnormally low prices). Any message that could be assimilated with this practice can therefore be sanctioned.
  • Excessive use of special characters, writing in all caps, and repeating a character with the intent to gain attention are forbidden.
  • It is forbidden to distribute links (URLs) that redirect to a third-party site if Re:Dragonica is not the author of the content.

Respecting Other Players

  • In order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere on the servers, polite language is required at all times. Vulgarity, insults, promoting terrorism or illegal practices, speech that is racist, xenophobic, homophobic, or sexual in nature, and any other inappropriate comments are forbidden.
  • With the exception of the international servers, each server is associated with its own language defined by its community. Only this language is allowed in the public channels. This rule does not apply to private channels, where you are free to speak in another language.
  • Scamming is prohibited. It's never a good feeling to realize that you've been tricked or manipulated in any way. As such, all scams detected directly in the game by moderators will be sanctioned.
  • Identity theft is forbidden, whether it be the identity of a player, guild, alliance, or official account, regardless of intent (whether good or bad).
  • Disclosing another player's personal information is prohibited.
  • Generally speaking, disrupting the game for other players is forbidden.

Trade

The following are prohibited:
  • Account, guild trading.

Cheating

  • Exploiting any in-game bugs is prohibited. Any anomalies must be reported to Support in the appropriate section.
  • Using any third-party programs (including programs commonly known as "bots" or "auto-clickers") is forbidden, regardless of their use.
  • Modifying the game client is forbidden. This includes all files present in the game's installation directory.
  • Using two or more accounts by any one player in player-versus-player fights is forbidden.

SINGLE-ACCOUNT MODE

  • A single player may only log in with a single account at a time on each server.
  • Using a proxy, VPN, virtual machine, or any other method that allows the limitations implemented to be circumvented is forbidden.

Moderators ensure the rules are followed in the game. They do not in any way replace Support (https://play.redragonica.com/support).
